About SoroFes 2023 [Team Competition]

Students attending SoroTouch centers in 12 countries/regions around the world can participate in the tournament from their homes or classroom via Zoom. Students will compete with each other by playing the SoroTouch games ”Ready Go!” and “How Many?”. The tournament will be both in English and Japanese, and center students from all over the world will connect online and compete with each other like a sports day or a quiz show. The winning team’s students in each division will receive gold, silver, and bronze medals and all participants will receive a participation medal!

■ Notes
*Please secure the time stated at the time of application. Each match lasts about 20 minutes, and the winner advances to the second round and the final since it is a tournament match.
*Please note that adjustments cannot be made if siblings participate and the matches overlap at the same time on different Zooms.
*The game time (tournament table) will be announced to the application classroom by Monday, May 22nd.
*One person cannot enter multiple teams.
*Attendance for the match will be confirmed at the start of the match. After the attendance check, the attendees will not be changed until the end of the match. Please make sure that all players join us on Zoom 10 minutes before the start of the game.

■ To Center Teachers
・The team name will be the center name, and one team from one center can participate in each division.
・Companies who operate multiple centers can participate in a joint center team, but please select one center for the team name.
・On the day, one teacher can join Zoom with their video off. Please turn on your video when sending messages to the students.
・If the team does not have 3 members on the day, the opposing team will win by default. However, up to 2 players are allowed to withdraw after the match has started.
・The maximum number of teams in each division is 32. If there are many participation requests, we may narrow down the number of teams.

■ Judgment method
・Compete with 2 to 4 teams (2 to 4 color games) in one match by the total points of Ready Go! and How Many?
・If the winning team cannot be narrowed down with a tie, the winner will be determined by overtime.
・Points will count even if the members cannot participate due to a problem with the Wifi or app malfunction. Retirement is possible only before the start of the event
・Winner will be decided by the average number of points per team member.
